A jumbo-sized makeover: British Airways' Boeing 747 fleet upgraded with new HD touchscreens, mood lighting and more comfortable seats
The new interior on board BA's 18 jumbo jets (inset) - which fly to destinations such as New York and Dubai - features 16 additional seats in business class (bottom right) and new carpets, seat foams and mood lighting (top left).
Passengers can choose from 130 films and 400 TV programmes on Panasonic's next-generation in-flight entertainment system, which uses HD touchscreens (top right). Those in economy (bottom right) can plug their devices, including mobile phones and tablet computers, into a USB socket to keep them powered up.
